Summer Learning Journey 2

Hi guys,

Today I'm going to be sharing with you my 2 activity for the summer learning journey. The activity was you were going to buoyage for three weeks and you had to pack your own what 10 food items would you pack.

I did a lot of research to find out what foods last a long time and it was really hard to find foods that last long and that I liked so from a lot of hard work here id my work...

Weekly Words Enthusiastic

SAVE THE HORNBY POOL!

Hi guys,

Today I'm going to be sharing with you something that my school is very currency about. You may not know but the council was planning on building a pool at Denton then Kyle park and now there has been a slight problem.

The board had a vote and they agreed that they would build the pool and then a few people were away so they secretly had a second vote and now they are not building the pool.

And now we need your help there is a public vote/ protest and we want you to support.

My Writing Doc

Hi guys,

Welcome back to my blog. Today I'm going to be sharing with you my writing doc for this week.

We were given a youtube clip of 7 years old boys running an 800-meter track race. We had to write bullet points describing one idea and then we had to put all of the bullet points into a paragraph.

• The guy in the high vis jacket telling me where to stand

I stood with my head held high as I waited for the gun to go. The guy in the high vis corrected me
telling me where to stand. 321 ‘BOOM’  goes the gun. The joyful noise of cheering people gave
me heaps of confidence (AHH) Huff Huff The deep breath of the children behind me.
The thump of the shoes slamming against the ground. I could see the hands of the guidelines guys
pointing to where I had to go.

Meet My Brother & Centrals

Hi guys,

Welcome back to my blog. Today I'm going to be telling you all about my weekend with my brother.

On Thursday my brother jack came down from Gisborne to  Christchurch for the weekend. The same day that he came I had a tournament with my school winter sport netball team the Hornby diamonds. We went to central at Hagley park we had 8 games and we got 7th out of 15. He came and watched them with all my other family members.

When all of our games had finished and we were allowed to go home my family all went to the Miller bar and we meet up with other family members and talked. Then we had dinner with them sadly they had to leave but we saw them the next day.

On Friday me and my sister, leala took the day off school to hang out with jack we meet up with other people that day and when we were done with that me and jack went to time zone. I beet jack really bad at bowling. I got 140 tickets he got 30 out of all the tickets we won but whos counting.

I hope you like what I did in the weekend.

P.S we went to the finals for League. Hornby Panthers all the way

My Fantastic Weekend

Hi guys,

Welcome back to my blog. Today I'm going to be telling you all about my fantastic weekend with Nevaeh, Temera and there Mum.

This weekend I went to Nevaeh's house for the day. When I first got there we were just chilling and playing with slime, we got a bit bored so we went for a walk to the dairy than to the park.

When we got back we decided to go into town we went to Margret Mahy playground for a play we got bored again so we went for a drive to New Brighton. When we got there we were running away from the waves, we got a bit wet. We got hungry so then we got some pizza me vaeh and meme thoughts are there nicknames, to go get a drink but when we went to pay vaeh realized she had lost the money so we went back to the beach Temera was looking in the car/eating the pizza while me and vaeh were searching the beach that time we got soaked from head to toe. It was so fun.

We didn't find the money so we went ice skating but before we went we had to go back to there house to get dressed and warm. Then we went ice skating it was so fun it was my first time going I was really good super fast I was actually faster then veah and meme. Then we had to go.

Zones Winter Sport

Hi guys,

Today I'm going to be telling you all about what happened at zones winter sports today.

We were playing at Hagley park near the hospital on the netball courts. There were two courts that we were playing on, they were 22 and 23.

We played 6 games 4 competitive and 2 friendly it meant that if we lost one of our friendly games it wouldn't matter. We won all of our games except for one in the friendly games so we are safe and now we are going Centrals which is so exciting.

Show Don't Tell

Jeremy's face was priceless when he saw his favorite ice cream in the whole entire world.	Jeremy was shocked.

Mea's Mars Project

Hello Everyone,

Welcome back to my amazing blog. Today I'm going to be telling you all about my mars project that I did in my reading group.

I am learning to...

• ask questions before, during, and after.
• I synthesise new information from the text. This means matching information in the text to my own ideas to make my ideas stronger and more solid.
• find and explain cause and effect relationships.

My group was given a slide with heaps of information such as artistic and videos we had to read and watch to find our information about mars. We had to put our facts opinion and what we were learning. I put mine into an I Movie.

My Opinion is that we could move to mars one because it would be cool living on another plant and second scientist have found ways to make mars liveable.
