PICTURE 1

What is the first thing you notice in the photo?

That the mother did not look very happy

Why do you think the photo was taken?

So they have a family photo

What clues tell you how old the photo might be?

How tall they look

Clues there cloths looked very old made and the photo was in black and white

If there are people, what are they doing?

Maybe wait there turn to take their photo

What can you see in the background?

A wall but it looks like they're in a empty kitchen

What do you think is going on just outside the frame?

People in lines or maybe just one other family

What do you think happened before and after the photo ?

Before i think that the children would be fiddling with everything,

After they kids would be happy they didn't have to sit still.

PICTURE 2

What is the first thing you notice in the photo?

The people are Maori

Why do you think the photo was taken?

Maybe to show the people that the woman stand by the Maori passion

What clues tell you how old the photo might be?

The Maori ladies are wearing raukura and are in the English clothes

If there are people, what are they doing?

Maybe the people that are in the area are fighting there own wars with the pakeha

What can you see in the background?

A old house/whare

What do you think is going on just outside the frame?

Heaps of people cleaning and doing jobs

What do you think happened before and after the photo was taken?

Before maybe they were all really sad and trying to get the photo over with,

After maybe they went back to there jobs

Piano Island

Studying history is important because……….

The reason why studying history is so important is because those who don't know the past seem to repeat it…

3 Historic events I am familiar with in aotearoa are Te Tiriti O Waitangi, Christchurch Earth and Captain cook's arrival  .

Coronavirus, New leader for national party and Volcano, White island are 3 most recent events that have happened in Aotearoa

We are listening to chapters from Gavin Bishop’s book ‘Piano Rock’. He says he values his heritage because…….Its important and its been a source of inspiration and ideas

Growth Mindset Vs Fixed Mindset

What is a fixed mindset?

A fixed mindset is were u think that u can only do one thing and not get better at other things for example I don't know how to play the guitar. Compared to a growth mindset were i say I don't know how to play the guitar yet.

A growth mindset is were u believe u can get better at heaps of things and u don't have to be good at only one simple thing at not get any better cause u can always get better at what you do.

In life u will always come across obstacles that will be hard to face but to have a growth mindset you just have to try as hard as u can to get better then it wont be so hard.

Thank you for reading my blog about Growth and Fixed mindsets.

Goodbye!
