Sedimentary Rock- Earth Science

HI GUYS,

This term my class is working on Earth Science. So our teacher decided to make some Sedimentary rock's made out of...
- plaster of Paris
- Sand(from our school sandpit)
- Water
- Food Coloring
- Mini Card Boxes 
- shells, stones

First, we put all of the ingredients into a big bucket and then we mixed it together and then took turns to put a layer into our card boxes and let them dry for 2 days. Then we put in another layer and sometimes we put in shells and stones to make it like a sedimentary rock when we finished we had done around 5 layers and there were shells and little stones.


I noticed that ...
-The layers you couldn't really see them
-The color on the top stayed but the color in the inside faded away

The reason why we made the sedimentary rocks is because then we can see the layers inside of the rock and really be able to tell that it is a sedimentary rock.

My Amazing Surprise

Hi guys,

In the holidays my parents Surprised me by take me and my family to Ashburton 

The reason why I went down to Ashburton is because I have a friend named Dion and he is autistic and it was his birthday party a few days ago and he was so excited and know one showed up. So a group of people that we knew sent a message around to the people that went and worked at this preschool saying what happened and if they can come for another thing for him. So we did and now I'm going to be telling you all about it.

First, we were at our house most of us were asleep then all I hears is the most annoying sound that I had ever heard it was the sound of my baby sister screaming like she had been shot then I am awake. My dad, he comes up to me and says get dressed in to some nice clothes and make a birthday card I didn't know who it was for so I just left out the name .10 minutes later my family is packing the car and I still have know clue were I'm going when we finally arrive at where we were going then I realized where we were .

We sat in the car for 10 minutes and got ready then we walked into...

McDonald's where the party was. The cool thing about it was no one knew that were coming and everybody got a surprise. After we went in we said hi to everyone and play for a bit then we  got some food.It was really good i had a medium sized big mac combo it was delicious. When we all finished our food all of the kids went to the playground and we played tag for half an hour then it was time to say our goodbyes.

We were going to go home but then we stooped into some places
then we surprised my old neighbor because there like our grandparents.then we went home .

Our Harold Visit

Hi guys,

Today I'm going to be telling you all about our Harold visit last week.

On Monday the 29 of April I came to school and I saw the Harold van and I was excited that I got to go to Harold.
later that morning we did and we learned all about our reputation and our identity and then we had to match our self's to a 
beaver, otter, lion or golden retriever.
I was a lion mixed with an otter because I'm a very energetic and a bit annoying sometimes

So when Harold left we were given a task that had heaps of questions about our personality.
